Attention to environmental concerns and historic, cultural, and architectural contexts are the hallmarks of our firm.

Regardless of the project size, we listen to our clients’ goals and translate them into appropriately sustainable solutions for each building and site, combining respect for the environment with design excellence, cost effectiveness and attention to detail.

We offer a full range of architectural design services for new construction and renovation projects including master planning, site planning, feasibility studies, programming, historic preservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, space planning, and interior design. We measure our success by the level of satisfaction expressed by our clients and by the performance of our designs over time.

Throughout the project, we experienced many unplanned changes. We made design changes. We made location changes. We inherited [additional] space midway into the project. We had two major floods. Given all of the changes that we made, SMP never wavered. They remained professional and committed to helping us achieve our goals.
