Attention to environmental concerns and historic, cultural, and architectural contexts are the hallmarks of our firm.

Regardless of the project size, we listen to our clients’ goals and translate them into appropriately sustainable solutions for each building and site, combining respect for the environment with design excellence, cost effectiveness and attention to detail.

We offer a full range of architectural design services for new construction and renovation projects including master planning, site planning, feasibility studies, programming, historic preservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, space planning, and interior design. We measure our success by the level of satisfaction expressed by our clients and by the performance of our designs over time.

SMP Architects was a pleasure to work with on this project [the Visitor Center at Ohiopyle State Park] as they have been on a number of previous DCNR project efforts. They bring the utmost professionalism and positive outlook to each project. The project successfully accomplished [initial goals], in many ways exceeding many expectations and winning over doubters.
