Construction at the French International School Campus Expansion is coming together! The Center for Science and Innovation (CSI) will be completed next month, and the Arts Center will follow soon after. The project is transforming a former surface parking lot and neglected adjacent property into a cohesive new campus, including various indoor/outdoor spaces such as the ‘Bris-way’ that wraps the Arts Center and connects through a covered walkway to the school’s existing classroom building. #architecture #addition #design #new #building #philadelphia

The Second Police District Office has achieved LEED v4 Gold Certification! The first police district building in Philadelphia to achieve this, the project is an adaptive reuse of an existing bank building to serve as an accessible neighborhood police office building in northeast Philadelphia. Environmentally responsible strategies include the reuse of the existing building, diversion of construction and demolition waste, responsible materials specification, efficient HVAC systems with energy recovery, and LED lighting. The surrounding site was improved and provided with new plantings, trees, bike facilities, and green vehicle charging stations. #building #reuse #architecture #sustainable #philadelphia
