SMP is Expanding Our Team!
SMP Architects is seeking an architectural designer with a flexible skill set and interest in all aspects of the profession.
SMP Principal Todd Woodward joined Ground Reconsidered for a community meeting presentation at Christy Recreation Center in West Philadelphia last week!
The long-term plan is for Christy to receive a major site and building renovation, with construction in phases. Schematic Design for the entire project has been completed, with Design Development about to begin.
We have enjoyed collaborating with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, the Christy Rec Center Advisory Council, local politicians, and our design team colleagues on this exciting and meaningful project!

SMP recently completed a series of renderings for an independent school client.
The images document a major renovation to this Kindergarten through 8th Grade facility, intended to be constructed in a phased manner over the next three years.
We are excited to work with this progressive educator to improve the learning environment!

SMP visited Hickory Run State Park after a recent snowfall. ❄
Construction bids for our comfort stations and shower houses are due in early January.
The four new buildings are designed to respect and complement existing structures on site and will significantly upgrade the camping experience within heavily used areas in the park! 🏕

The team got together for a fun-filled time of making terrariums, untangling Christmas lights, setting up a tent while some house plants volunteered to move into office for the week!
